Essential Functions Statement(s)
Administer medications in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
Produce and maintain, as required by state regulations and company policies, records of individual care, condition, progress, or problems to report and communicate with medical providers as necessary.
Order medications as needed in accordance with company policies.
Complete nursing assessments in accordance with company policies.
Inform individuals of test results or physician appointments as needed.
Completely assess and document individual's biophysical, psychosocial, safety and educational needs and documents all interactions within 48 hours.
Design a comprehensive nursing care plan that is consistent with the medical regimen to meet the individual's needs.
Updates the nursing care plan as patient needs change, when patient achieves goals and/or a minimum of once a month.
Provides ongoing evaluation and training to DSPs during the provision of services in individual homes.
Demonstrates knowledge of state and federal regulations and ensures continued compliance with applicable regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: One year nursing experience required.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Certificates & Licenses
Current Iowa Registered Nursing license required. Demonstrated competence in license/certification skill set. Within the first 90 days, attend and pass all required training for the position. Attend any other training events as instructed by supervisor or if mandatory by agency.
Other Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to pass TB test, physical, and drug screen prior to hire and as required by regulation and/or policy. Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Satisfactory results on background checks with previous employers, criminal, and abuse registries.
