Description: |
The IT Manager directs day-to-day activities of IT staff and is also responsible for a wide range of design activities as IT architect and management of KSCs information technology assets. This position designs and oversees complex environments consisting of Cisco-based networks, Microsoft operating systems and databases, IBM Systems I and P, and universal storage platform architecture.
This position requires significant knowledge across multiple platforms, architectures and processes while keeping up on new technologies. The candidate will be responsible for directing the design and implementation efforts of less experienced IT personnel.

Duties: |
Assist Director with execution of the strategic vision for the IT team to ensure long-term success
Design and implement information systems that support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization
Develop system requirements that ensure security, reliability and scalability in support of current and future business needs
Ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and offer support to solution teams regarding new technologies and system requirements
Manage a team of IT professionals to meet organizational goals; Provide leadership and mentorship to a department that supports 24/7 operations

Qualifications: |
Bachelors degree required
7-10 years senior IT position experience required
UNIX experience, AIX experience preferred
DB2 DBA experience preferred
SAN experience preferred
Extensive architect/design experience preferred
Technical background in software development, database development, or MIS development preferred
Knowledge of infrastructure that supports both thick and thin clients
High-level industry certifications, or history of certifications and willingness to obtain, required
Exceptional communication skills
Effective leadership and management skills
